This year ACTS Housing and our families reached an incredible milestone: 2,500 families have become homeowners through ACTS programs since 1995!
Now that the snow has melted and ice has thawed, I am looking forward to warmer weather — and a busy home buying season.
We’re entering the season of thanks. There’s no better time to reflect on the good that has happened at ACTS, in our families’ lives, and in the community. We raised $170,000 at the second-ever Longest Neighborhood Table event and are at the halfway point in our $2 million capital campaign. A heartfelt thanks to all of you for your continued enthusiasm and support.
Thanks to all of our dedicated supporters, staff, and friends, 2016 was the most successful year for ACTS families!
Thanks to all of our dedicated donors, staff, and friends, our Longest Neighborhood Table event on September 22nd was a huge success.
From vacant house, to warm, comfortable home, the stories below and the work we do brings hospitality to the forefront of our minds.
As always it is an exciting time at ACTS. Wrapping up our summer season with 98 sales for the year, hiring three new talented team members and working as hard as ever for our families has kept us busy this quarter. we could not do it without you – supporting ACTS means supporting dedicated, talented families such as Patryce – see her story below. Thank you for your support thus far. We hope we can count on you to help us continue this important work.
ACTS, in partnership with the City of Milwaukee, aims to help 60 families purchase tax foreclosed properties in 2015. Through May, we have already helped 27 families reclaim such properties. Featured below is Stephanie Reel, who purchased a city tax foreclosure in 2013. We hope you enjoy reading about Stephanie, and we ask for your support as we partner with families like hers to revitalize some of Milwaukee’s most challenged blocks.
With your support, ACTS helped 137 families purchase homes in 2014, 96 of which were formerly vacant,
vandalized foreclosures. The majority of these families saved hundreds of dollars per month through ownership!
With your continued help, 2015 will be an even better year for the families and neighborhoods we serve.
