Buying your first home is an exciting milestone, but it can also feel overwhelming. Acts Housing’s Homebuyer Education Session is designed to help you understand every step of the homebuying process so you can move forward with confidence.
Whether you’re just beginning to explore homeownership or preparing to purchase a home in the near future, this free class provides valuable information to help you make informed decisions. Our experienced housing professionals will explain the process from start to finish and answer your questions along the way.

What You’ll Learn
During this HUD-approved Homebuyer Education Session, you’ll learn about:
- Preparing your finances for homeownership
- Understanding and improving your credit score
- Creating a realistic homebuying budget
- Mortgage options and working with lenders
- Down payment assistance programs
- Shopping for a home
- What to expect during closing and beyond
Many mortgage programs and down payment assistance opportunities require completion of a homebuyer education course. By attending both sessions, you’ll earn your Homebuyer Education Certificate, an important step toward qualifying for many first-time homebuyer programs.
