Demetrious’s beautiful home is situated in the heart of Beloit’ city center district, positioned north of downtown and just east of Rock River. Her home, a two-story cobalt-blue house with crisp white trim, stands proudly amid a spacious yard, complemented by a welcoming front porch. Juggling Priorities While Preparing for Homeownership
As a single mom, Demetrious has her hands full taking care of her home, children, and running a business. She has four kids, a 17 year old, two 15 year old’s, and a 5 year old baby girl. She is a small business owner of a salon in Beloit where she specializes in hair and makeup. Owning a small business while pursuing homeownership was a difficult thing to juggle for Demetrious. The time and effort in the pursuit of this goal can feel like a second job, and for Demetrious there were times that she wanted to give up.
