If you’re currently renting, homeownership could be an option for your family. On average, Acts homebuyers pay a monthly mortgage (including principal, interest, taxes, and insurance) of $1187, which might even be less than you’re paying in rent!
Acts Housing believes that homeownership is a great investment in yourself, your family, and in our community.
A message from Dee Kemp, VP Programs at Acts Housing:
The purpose of this organization is to help black and brown families become home owners. Our work is necessary because these communities have been systematically deprived of the education and opportunities that allow us to build wealth and thrive. Your City and County officials requested that Acts Housing come to this community. They want to ensure equal access to the American dream through homeownership. We are proud to bring our programs and services to Beloit and Acts Housing is committed to reaching our goal of creating 150 new homeowners in this area. This initiative can only be considered a success if the majority of the families served are people of color. It is our deep desire and privilege to reach and serve members of the African American community who want to be home owners. Homeownership is a reasonable and attainable goal; if you are willing to do the work we are here to support and guide you through the process.

After You Finish All 5 Orientation Videos:
Once you finish virtual orientation, if you’re ready to move forward and begin the Acts Housing Homeownership Program, you’ll take the following steps:
- Purchase your credit report (we’ll send you a link for secure online payment; a fee of $21.00 is charged per individual.)
- Watch for an email invitation to set up your personal, secure homebuyer portal (you’ll receive this by the following business day)
- Finish filling out your personal information in the secure portal and electronically sign your authorization paperwork
- Schedule your first meeting with a Homebuyer Coach!
