Longest Neighborhood Table – Impact Edition, August 4-28, 2021
Last year, Longest Neighborhood Table – Home Edition supporters helped 181 families become homeowners despite the challenges of Covid-19 — a testament to the strong, resilient families Acts works with.
You stepped up with creativity and commitment to embrace this event, which broke records for fundraising ($430,000+ in donations!) and engagement. (150 new donors joined our ranks!) I hope you’ll be just as excited about Longest Neighborhood Table — Impact Edition, scheduled for August 4-28, 2021.
Thank you for already being an incredible champion for Acts. One of our big “pandemic lessons” was that, given the opportunity, our supporters will engage their network in a very personal way, which results in a closer connection to the organization. This year, we’re asking for your help to grow the Longest Neighborhood Table again.
These influencers use the power of their network to make new introductions for Acts, and they encourage donations during the campaign. Letter-writing, email, social media, and phone-a-thon’s are all options for Influencer Champion success.
Event Champions love sharing the Acts story and getting their network involved. These social butterflies bring groups together over golf, dinner, a hike, or any other creative “event” format to benefit Acts. You plan the fun, we’ll provide videos, stories, Acts swag, and facilitate donations to make introductions easy.
During the campaign (August 4-28) a new Acts story will be published daily on our website and shared on social media. Those registered for the Longest Neighborhood Table (you and your invitees) will also receive a weekly digest email with the highlights and fundraising updates. Champions are encouraged to share the stories that most resonate with them; our goal is to tell the story of Acts in 25 different ways, that will resonate with many different people. You’ll have plenty of content to help you tell your network what Acts is all about.
Food & Beverage
While Acts isn’t providing catering or event coordination this year, we’d be happy to share our preferred catering list (coming soon) and party planner referrals!
There will be a new mission video featuring Acts Families available on YouTube throughout the campaign. We encourage Champions to share it widely. If you’re hosting an event, you could email it to your guests ahead of time to pique their interest and start the conversation, or show it during your event.
Champions will have the opportunity to pick up guest swag bags, yard signs, and table tents July 26-28 at the Acts Housing office from Noon-6:00 PM.
Worried about fundraising and “the ask”? We have you covered. There will be fundraising appeals built into the 25 sharable stories and some special “matching challenges” to double your network’s impact. If you’re hosting people in person, your guest’s swag bags will include a donation envelope — along with other information and treats!
