1% For Our Home partnership with Acts Housing
Welcome Good City Brewing employees! We’re so glad you’re here.

Rest assured, you’re part of an awesome organization. Not only does Good City invest in non-profits like Acts Housing, but they also invest directly in you. Your employer has pledged to make a financial contribution of at least $1,000 per household for downpayment assistance to any employee who uses the Acts Housing program to purchase a home (for owner-occupancy).
If you’re currently renting, homeownership could be an option. On average, Acts homebuyers pay a monthly mortgage (including principal, interest, taxes, and insurance) of $868, which might even be less than you’re paying in rent!
Acts Housing and Good City believe that homeownership is not only a great investment in you but also in your family and in our city.

Whether you’ve been dreaming of owning a home for a long time, or you wonder whether this is even an option for you, Acts Housing is here to help. In order to register for the Acts Homebuyer Program, you’ll need to complete the virtual orientation. You’ve got four more short videos to go…what are you waiting for?!?!

Not sure yet? Here’s what to expect:

To get started, take the Acts Housing Virtual orientation. You’ll watch five short videos, around 30 minutes total.
Next, purchase your credit report. For individuals, the cost is $30.50, and for couples, it’s $61.00.
After we’ve pulled your credit report, you’ll get an email invitation to log into your personalized homebuyer portal. You can schedule your first coaching session from inside the portal.
At your first homebuyer coaching session, you’ll work with your coach to create an action plan and timeline to loan pre-approval. Every person and family is different, and this looks different for everyone.
Your Acts coach will help you decide whether you’ll take the “move-in ready” path or if a “fixer-upper” is for you. When it’s time to seek loan pre-approval, your coach will also help you review your lending options (your own bank, a local lending partner, or Acts Lending program) and submit your application.
After home-loan pre-approval, Acts also offers:
In-house Real Estate Brokerage
A team of local real estate professionals to assist you in your search for your home.
Home Rehab Guidance & Support
A home-rehab coaching team to support you should you decide to take on a fixer-upper.
We’re excited to work with you! Please note that the timeline to get to pre-approval is different for every person and every family who starts coaching. To qualify for the Good City Brewing downpayment assistance grant, the following criteria must be met at the time of closing:
- You must be an employee in good standing at Good City
- You must have averaged 20 hours per week for the three months prior to closing
- You must continue employment with Good City for three months after closing
