If you’re not dreaming of homeownership, you should be!
Welcome, Old National families! We’re so glad you’re here.

If you’re currently renting, homeownership could be an option for your family. On average, Acts homebuyers pay a monthly mortgage (including principal, interest, taxes, and insurance) of $868, which might even be less than you’re paying in rent!
Acts Housing and Ana Melo at Old National Bank believe that homeownership is a great investment in yourself, your family, and in our community.

Ana Melo has dedicated the last 20 years of her career in serving the diverse needs of the underserved populations of Milwaukee. She recently worked in community relations at Acts Housing on Milwaukee’s northwest side, where she worked closely with families and individuals that were striving towards homeownership. Ana is known for her engaging and outgoing personality and for her dedication in helping others achieve their home financing goals.

Not sure yet? Here’s what to expect:

To get started, take the Acts Housing Virtual orientation. You’ll watch five short videos, around 30 minutes total.
Next, purchase your credit report. For individuals, the cost is $30.50, and for couples, it’s $61.00.
After we’ve pulled your credit report, you’ll get an email invitation to log into your personalized homebuyer portal. You can schedule your first coaching session from inside the portal.
At your first homebuyer coaching session, you’ll work with your coach to create an action plan and timeline to loan pre-approval. Every person and family is different, and this looks different for everyone.
Your Acts coach will help you decide whether you’ll take the “move-in ready” path or if a “fixer-upper” is for you. When it’s time to seek loan pre-approval, your coach will also help you review your lending options (your own bank, a local lending partner, or Acts Lending program) and submit your application.
After home-loan pre-approval, Acts also offers:
In-house Real Estate Brokerage
A team of local real estate professionals to assist you in your search for your home.
Home Rehab Guidance & Support
A home-rehab coaching team to support you should you decide to take on a fixer-upper.
We’re excited to work with you! Please note that the timeline to get to pre-approval is different for every person and every family who starts coaching. We encourage you to start now – even if you don’t feel ready – you may be happily surprised by what you learn!
